Previously ‘Bluff Cove 4ply’, the same stunning yarn now spun from fleeces in Darwin just an hour away from Bluff Cove in the Falklands. Named after the famous naturalist, Charles Darwin. Super selected, Darwin is the sister yarn of the Darwin DK, a beautiful Falkland with Cheviot/Romney characteristics. Naturally grey, the dye adds a stunning hue to the yarn. Darwin is a wonderful yarn for just about everything and everyone.
Inspired by the trail as it slides from open hill top into the historic city, of Bath, winding its way around open farmland and down bustling alleyways to the majestic splendour of Bath Abbey.
Content: 100% Falklands sheep
Gauge: 7sts – 2.5mm needle
Recommended Care: Non-superwash yarn, I recommend a gentle, cool hand wash then lay flat to dry.
Natural Dye: Heather and Madder root
Everything I create is lovingly hand-dyed with natural plant materials, using traceable wool from farms with holistic practices, good ethics, and spun in the UK.
