The Meadow Scarf

A sweet project inspired by the newness of spring and the anticipation of blossoming flowers in a beautiful meadow.

Embrace the Essence of Spring with Every Stitch

This is my first scarf design, designed with my Perendale DK yarn, a 100% Perendale wool sourced from a wonderful farm in Darwin, Falkland, and spun in Devon, UK. The yarn has a beautiful texture that highlights the cable pattern while maintaining a softness that makes it perfect for wearing against your skin.
The pattern begins at the tip, gradually increasing until reaching the midpoint, where you’ll then decrease towards the endpoint. Within the simple flowing cables, a lace design creates little wheat sheaves, adding an extra touch of charm to the scarf. The addictive nature of the pattern has you wanting to knit just one more row before the end of the day.

I make naturally dyed, gorgeous, ethically sourced yarn. For me, it’s important to know the origins of your purchases; that way you can make informed choices, so traceability is at the heart of what I do. My yarns are breed specific, sourced from farms that go above and beyond caring for their flocks with the best possible practices.

Annabel has created the FREE Meadow Scarf pattern exclusively for people who join the mailing list. Designed to be a shorter scarf, it’s intended to throw over your shoulders and tie just once at the front or side of your neck. However, instructions are provided for adding repeats, allowing you to go from a quick knit into a longer, cosy wrap-around shawl. Versatile enough to be adapted to any season, I hope The Meadow scarf will become your go-to accessory for both spring and winter alike.
