Maybe it was a petal from the garden, a flower handed to you by someone dear, or something you picked on a quiet afternoon and tucked between the pages.

is a tribute to that ritual

The Flower Press at Christmas is a naturally dyed collection of yarns inspired by pressed botanicals – the kind you might find hidden inside a notebook or in an old envelope at the back of a drawer.

Crabapple blossom, feathery fennel, faded geranium, golden tansy, dried poppies, and silvery pressed ferns. All delicate reminders of summer, now softened into natural colour and yarn.

Each piece in the box has been thoughtfully made in my studio, using natural dyes to capture the warmth and memory of the year.

The Flower Press at Christmas advent box is a carefully composed collection of naturally dyed yarns, inspired by the delicate beauty of pressed botanicals – those fleeting moments from a garden or picked on a walk, softened into colour and fibre.

Inside your keepsake box, you’ll find:

1 x 100g skein – Devon 4ply

A full skein, naturally dyed. This is a soft and characterful yarn, spun in the UK using 80% Romney and 20% Grey Exmoor Blueface. It’s gently heathered, with a light bloom and a beautiful drape. Perfect for casting on something special.

12 x 20g mini skeins – naturally dyed and numbered:

– 6 x Poldale 4ply: 100% Poldale – a beautiful, springy Falkland yarn with subtle stitch definition and excellent warmth.
– 6 x Devon 4ply: 80% Romney and 20% Grey Exmoor Blueface – spun in Devon, woolly yet soft, with natural depth and texture.
Each mini is individually wrapped and numbered. You can choose to open them day by day, or all at once if you just can’t help yourself.

Printed Greeting Cards

A set of greeting cards created from real pressed leaves and flowers. Gathered, composed, and printed in the UK. Write a sweet note to give to a loved one, or keep as art pieces.

What is the price?

£120 + shipping (caluclated in the cart)

When do pre-orders close?

Midnight on July 15th.

When will it ship?

Advent boxes will ship in mid to late October 2025, in good time for the start of December.

What fibres are in the yarns?

The yarns are non-superwash and plastic-free:
– Poldale 4ply: 100% Poldale (Falkland Islands)
– Devon 4ply: 80% Romney, 20% Grey Exmoor Blueface (UK)

How is it presented?

Each advent is packed in a rigid cardboard box, made by a family-run firm in the Midlands, UK. It’s reusable. I use mine to store my swatches. The 12 mini skeins are individually boxed and numbered.

Is the box sustainable?
Yes! Everything in the box is plastic-free, recyclable or reusable. The yarns are dyed naturally, using plant colour in small batches in my Gloucestershire studio.
