DK Yarn
Spring Jasmine – Perendale DK

Spring Jasmine – Perendale DK

The Perendale DK yarn is made from the wool of free-roaming Perendale sheep living in the Falklands’ Bluff Cove. Due to the lack of industrialisation, this yarn is among the softest and whitest available. While searching for yarn, I came across an incredible farm that tends a large flock of sheep and offers visitors the opportunity to meet the penguins at the lagoon. The farm is entirely self-sufficient, generating electricity through wind turbines and solar panels while sourcing water from the farm spring.

Spring Jasmine is the colourway used in The Meadow Scarf

Spring Jasmine – Organic Merino DK

Spring Jasmine – Organic Merino DK

This stunningly soft Merino wool comes from the Falkland Islands, where small farmers rely on wool production as their primary source of income. The yarn is incredibly soft and luxurious, making it a knitter’s dream. The sheep on these islands have plenty of room to roam freely, and since there is little to no industry on the Falkland Islands, the air is pure and clean, resulting in a yarn that is simply gorgeous. My Merino wool comes from farms that do not practice mulesing so you can be sure your Merino yarn is cruelty-free.
