Natural – Perendale DK

Welcome my newest yarn, the Perendale DK. Spun from the fleeces of Perendales living freely on the cove and in the hills of Bluff Cove in the Falklands. With so little industry, it is some of the whitest, softest yarn. For this yarn I was introduced to Kevin and Hattie. As owners of Bluff Cove Farm they run a large flock of sheep and take visitors to meet the penguins at the lagoon. They live a self-sufficient existence totally off-grid. Electricity to the farm is generated by wind turbine and solar panels, and water is piped from the farm spring.

Non-superwash, nylon free, spun by the team at John Arbon Textiles and sourced from a renewable energy farm.

Recommended Care: Non-superwash yarn, I recommend a gentle, cool hand wash then lay flat to dry.
